George St. Pierre (Rush) VS. Anderson Silva (Spiderman)
After GSP's defeat over Alves for the welterwight division in UFC 100, the possibility to match up against the Spider becomes more clear as Dana White has his sight for a Toronto event.
"I'm focused on Toronto now," White said. "I want to do a big event in Toronto. And who knows? Like I said, I don't like to look past guys. Everybody who fights in the UFC is tough. (But) if Georges St. Pierre could get through Thiago Alves, who knows? Maybe we do Anderson Silva and Georges St. Pierre in Toronto."
Spiderman has proven over and over that he clearly is the best ever especially after playfully defeating Griffen in an embarassing match. This might possibly prove once and for all which party is truly the best. As Silvs moves up the ranks to prove his skill, he has no desire to fight in that weight class giving respect to Machida, his training partner, as the champion. Silva has excellent power and timing as he feels his opponent out. He certainly lives up to his name, the Spider maintaining the Octogan as his web of no escape with his deceptivey strength and striking power.
This might not be an easy 1 hitter quiter for Silva has GSP on the other hand is a tough cookie to crumble as he took on the power of BJ Penn. GSP might afterall be one of the most toughest opponents Anderson will have because of his excellent ground skills.
Frankly, GSP's only way to win is to not stand up against Silva and boxing toe to toe but to use what he uses best- the floor.
